Supporting Women Veterans with ANNIE The Owl Fundraiser

As you may know I am an AVON Representative and this is my first full year as a representative for the company, so I am totally immersed in doing the best that I can to provide to my clients, customers and any individuals that I meet with on a daily basis.

Being an AVON representative is more than handing a brochure to someone and sending them to your website to order, it is also about community involvement and support of local business organization by either basket donations, helping with letting the community know about the organization and volunteering your time and support to that organization or community event.

AVON has the ability to showcase that initiative every year by using a material plush toy to help an organization raise funds, by needed items, or just bring the community together, AVON is an organization that can provide the organization with a percentage of the sales from a fundraiser.

I have wanted to do a fundraiser and I went around and asked several organizations and I am happy to report that I am now fundraising for an organization called ONE SAVVY VETERAN; One Savvy Veteran’s mission is to encourage, educate and empower women veterans with the skills needed to successfully navigate the transition from military service to civilian life. The founder Meosha Thomas; served 10 years active duty in the United States Navy before she was injured in support of the Global War on Terrorism. She was honorably discharged and medically retired from military service due to her extensive injuries and sent home in 2010.

We decided that we would support women veterans by donation of 200 Annie the Owls, and have 45% of the money go back to One Savvy Veteran.  Annie the Owl is a plush toy  is an adorable, cuddly companion who loves to make new friends. Ultra-soft polyester plush, perfect for all ages. 13″ H x 9″ W x 6″ D, that AVON is part of our fundraising for $19.99 + plus!

We started the fundraiser via our respective Facebook pages via eventbrite asking for individuals to participate, we decided to do an Eventbrite page because that way if people wanted to make an donation of the Owl, they could take it amongst themselves and order.

One Savvy Veteran and I are now in the process of going face to face, as well as positioning the fundraiser onto other social media sites.. We are now in the process of asking people if they would make  monetary donations to the Annie the Owl fundraiser if at all possible.

I would appreciate the help of my fellow followers and if anyone needs any further information they can ask any questions in the comments section as I am very responsive to questions and comments.

I thank you for all the support!
