Decide. Commit. Succeed!

When I was first presented with the opportunity to sell AVON, I was like Nope, I just want to buy the selections from the brochures as I am not a sells person.

Meaning if I was giving the opportunity to sell something like the perfume below: ultr sexy collection

This is AVON’S Ultra Sexy collection and it comes in three distinctive lines: Ultra Sexy Lace, Ultra Secy Pink and Ultra Sexy Heart.. Ok, so I have the names down..no problem but how do I go about selling the product? buy them first and hope that the person doesn’t get upset that you have taken the top off and sprayed the bottle on you or on them to test and them sell that bottle at a discounted price due to that.. NO WAY.. Selling the items to people was just too hard and I didn’t want any part of it.

So a couple of years later, I lost my “AVON LADY” and did a search for just “AVON” and saw that they were recruiting online with a $15 signup fee.. I thought what the heck since I am searching I might as well become one, maybe I can get a discount on the items I want to order this way and save alot of money.

So I signed and got the best people ever to talk with and show me the ropes.. I went in thinking maybe I can do what my “AVON LADY” use to do .. have a book on my desk and tell people as we talk in a general way that I am an “AVON LADY”, nope that works but AVON has turned into a global entity and talked with representative and customers and they found out that in addition to hand to hand, we as representative also needed to be on the Social Web and have people know about our products that way.

I was like Heck yea!, I am on Facebook all the time: https://www.facebook.com/profavonlady/  so using that medium would come easy to me but I was still not so happy about the making the face to face sale, as I was just like others “Shy” and didn’t like the word “No”..

So one day I decided that I was going to ask my local Alderman if I could hang out with him in his office location and talk to his constituents about AVON and or at least pass out my brochures, not so hard and it was ok, and the outcome of that was that I found out about vendor tables and how I could take the “product on hand” I had and showcase in a area while people browsed and talked with you looking for a sale on the items.. Ok that turned out to be fun; still not a sales person but I conquered a fear and committed  to several of those within a spam on months.

So my commitment and  success with AVON has been placed on a high pedestal so far, I am now in the recruiting stage of the AVON as well as still selling, and that is one other thing that I learned about AVON is you are not alone when it comes to the selling, recruiting, vending, face to face or any other situation that arises when you join them.
